English Version
Australiana Kelpies is a joint venture between Gordon McMaster, Wyreema Stud and Frank and Mareike Doll with the aim of bringing the Worlds Oldest established Working Kelpie Studs bloodline to the European market.
Why Wyreema Kelpies?
It is worlds oldest Kelpie stud established in 1882 and run by Gordon McMaster since 1964. With a life time of genetic experience Gordon has both the knowledge and vision to bring out the best in this breed. Research shows that over 66% of the top dogs in Australia have a strong Wyreema influence.
The Kelpie is the iconic Australian working dog, capable of working all types of stock.
They are a short haired, medium sized dog capable of thinking for themselves. Quick and sharp yet gentle by nature, as intelligent as a good poodle (Gordie & his wife Narnie have had a number of poodles through their married life) kelpie dogs live to work livestock, yet make the perfect family pet, ever so gentle and friendly.
Why Germany?
Mareike Doll—One of the best dog trainers I have worked with and Frank is a natural stockman with Australian experience.
Breeding locally will make the Worlds Best Kelpies available at a better price than flying a dog direct from Australia.
This combined with Mareike’s unsurpassed experience in training these beautiful dogs is going to impact immensely on the European market.

The vastness of the Australian Sheep and Cattle Stations dictates the need for strong, independent thinking working dogs. Wyreema has been providing these dogs to Australia and the World since 1882.
